International literacy Day was observed in B.V.M Dugri on 8th September, 2017. Its aim was to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and society. A special assembly was held where told that illiteracy in India or elsewhere is a blot on the face of humanity. A rally was organized in which students made the people aware about the importance of education. Slogans like “JAB PADHA LIKHA HOGA INSAN, TABHI BANEGA RASTRA MAHAN’ were the main attraction of the day. Principal Mam Mrs. Ranjit Kaur gave the message that it is the responsibility of educated ones to eradicate illiteracy. She further added that we must contribute towards efforts for eradication of illiteracy.
