INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY « 11/Oct/2024
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Dugri, proudly celebrated International Girl Child Day on October 11th with enthusiasm and commitment to raising awareness about the importance of empowering girls and ensuring their rights.
The event began with a speech delivered by Ms. Richa who highlighted the significance of the day and the need for equal opportunities for girls in every sphere of life. Himanshu, a student of Class- 9, also delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the critical role girls play in shaping the future of society. Anshika, a Class- 9 student, captivated the audience with a heartfelt recitation of a poem 'The Story of a Girl Child', portraying the struggles and triumphs faced by girls across the world. Adding a creative touch to the event, the students presented a vibrant musical performance, which carried the message of saving the girl child. The performance was accompanied by thought-provoking slogans and eye-catching posters made by the students. Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan, encouraged the students to be active ambassadors for change. She said, "Empowering girls is not just a necessity, it is a responsibility to create a world where every girl has the opportunity to thrive, learn, and lead."
