NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY
'When girls are educated, their countries becomes stronger and most prosperous.'
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Dugri observed National Girl Child Day on 24th  January to promote awareness about issues faced by girl child in India such as education, nutrition, child marriage protection and honour. The day aims to focus on the inequalities faced by girls, to promote the education, health and nutrition of the girls child and to spread awareness about the rights of girl child. A special assembly was held to celebrate the girl power. Mrs. Sunita Dahuja enlightened everyone with the need to address the challenges that girls face in Indian society due to gender biases. Students of Class-VII presented a melodious song on the occasion and Rishi and Aryan of Class-VI recited poems highlighting multifarious contribution made by girls to the society. Principal, Manisha Madaan said that gender difference is one of the stereotypes which should be uprooted from the society and that transformation is possible only through education.
