BVM School, Dugri celebrated the International Dance Day on 29th April, 22 with great fanaticism and fervor. The day, celebrated world wide, was introduced in 1982 by the International Dance Council UNESCO. Mrs. Pooja our Music and Dance teacher gave an informational speech. The idea behind celebrating international dance day is to encourage participation and educate people across the world about different dance forms such as the popular Indian dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kathakali etc. and international dance forms like ballet. To celebrate the day an Inter House Competition was held in which the students showcased patriotic and semi-classical dances with all energies. Bhagat Singh House swept the board. Principal of the school Mrs. Manisha Madaan Ji, congratulated the winning students and said that there are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.
