WORLD EQUALITY DAY « 26/Aug/2021

A nation can only progress if it acknowledges and identifies the rights of its women.
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School, Dugri observed Women's Equality Day on 26th Aug. This day sets an example that women are not weak, they do not belong to a weaker community. Women are warrior, they deserve more and whenever they feel that they are suppressed they will fight for their right. Mrs. Mamta expressed her views on this day. She said that August 26 of every year is marked as a Women's Equality Day. A day worth remembering because 19th amendment was finally certified and adopted into the Constitution of United States granting women the right to vote. This day was first celebrated on 26th August 1973. Since then this day is celebrated as the Women's Equality Day.
Students of class 5th and 6th recited different poems on equality of women and speeches on successful women in India were delivered by students of class 7 and 9. Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan motivated all, that If we are to strive to be a cultured society, then the change must come from all walks of life. The effort needs to be put in our homes, offices, public places and Parliament if we are to truly give women a sliver of a chance at the basic right of life – Equality.
