BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SAROJINI NAIDU « 13/Feb/2021
To honour Sarojini Naidu B.V.M. Dugri celebrated Birth Anniversary of Sarojini Naidu which is also known as National Women's Day on 13th February 2021. Our school teacher Ms. Sampada enlightened everyone through her speech in which she told that one of the most prominent figures in India's freedom struggle, Sarojini Naidu also known as the Nightingale of India was a political activist and poet. Her contribution to the upliftment and emancipation of women will be always remembered. A student of our school namely Ripanjot Kaur recited the beautiful poem in the praise of Bharat Kokila. Principal mam Mrs. Manisha Madaan gave the message that Sarojini Naidu who was appointed as a woman governor of India is an inspiration to all women and her birthday is celebrated to mark social, cultural, political and economic achievements of women and to accelerate women's equality.
