The auspicious festival of
Diwali was celebrated with immense joy, zeal and enthusiasm by the students of
BVM High School, Dugri on November 14, 2020.
Ms. Vandana, Primary Teacher, sensitized students to the history, significance and importance of celebrating Diwali (the festival spirituality signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair). She also briefed students about the ill effects of burning crackers and motivated them to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly way. Students enjoyed the day by taking part in a plethora of activities, which were based on the theme of
WASTE TO WOW. All these activities unfolded their creative abilities.
Students of class I to III participated in decoration of Diyas and Candles.
Students of class IV to VI made flowers, lamps and lanterns; whereas
students of class VII to IX showcased their creativity through Toran making and Thali decoration activity.
Beautiful rangolis were made by students of class X.
Ekta, student of class X,
recited a beautiful poem on Diwali. Diwali celebration was enjoyed by all wholeheartedly.
