International Biodiversity Day is celebrated every year on 22nd May for increasing understanding and awareness about the importance, role and issues concerning biodiversity on the earth. To highlight the importance of the day and how we can safeguard the precious heritage of bio resources for future generation on the earth,
Mr. Giridhari, Science teacher at
BVM High School, Dugri conducted online seminar. Various online activities were also organised for the students also. Class IV students recited meaningful
poems and class V students put forth their views through write ups on benefits of kitchen garden plants. Students of class VI & VII also laid emphasis on the day through
slogan writing and
poster making.
Sehajpreet of class VIII told the importance of bees in nature through audio clipping.
Sneha of class X, through a
short video presented her views on Biodiversity and its conservation. All these series of activities clearly reflects that the covid 19 pandemic situation has proved that despite our technological advances, humans are completely dependent on healthy and vibrant ecosystem.
