BVM School, Dugri Celebrated Teej with Traditional Fervour.
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Dugri, celebrated the vibrant festival of Teej with great enthusiasm and cultural splendour. The celebration aimed to acquaint students with the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with this colourful festival.
Navkeerat, a student of Class IX, highlighted the significance of Teej and its importance in Indian culture.
Students from Nursery to Class V added charm to the celebration by arriving in colourful traditional attire. Tiny tots from Nursery to Class II captivated the audience with delightful dance performances, while students also showcased their talent through fancy dress presentations. Students of Classes VI and VII enthralled everyone with melodious Punjabi folk songs, reflecting the essence of the festive season. The celebration became even more vibrant as students of Classes X to XII participated enthusiastically in the Mehndi Competition, displaying remarkable creativity and intricate designs. Students of Class X also presented energetic Haryanvi and Punjabi folk dances, filling the atmosphere with joy and festive spirit.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mrs. Jyoti Garg encouraged students to cherish and preserve India’s rich cultural traditions. She also said that Festivals like Teej strengthen our bond with our heritage and instil values of unity, joy, and respect for our traditions.
