Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Dugri solemnly observed the death anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s beloved “Missile Man” and visionary leader with a series of inspiring activities. Ms. Richa (TGT) delivered an insightful speech and shared anecdotes from Dr. Kalam’s life, emphasizing his dedication to education, science, and youth empowerment. A sketch and colouring activity was also organised for tiny toys, where students beautifully illustrated portraits of Dr. Kalam, showcasing their creativity and admiration for the legend. A poetry recitation and kavi sammelan ‘Kalam Ki Kalam Se’ were also held, where young poets presented heartfelt poems reflecting his simplicity, patriotism, and vision for India. A model-making competition added a scientific dimension to the tribute, with students creating models of rockets, satellites, and other innovative concepts, reminiscent of Kalam’s contributions to ISRO and DRDO. Principal, Ms. Manisha Madaan, encouraged the students to seek their inspiration from Kalam Ji’s life to dream big and work tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality.
