"Plastic waste hurts the Earth, say NO now!”
World Environment Day was celebrated virtually at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Dugri. This globally significant day is observed every year on 5th June to raise awareness about the protection and conservation of our environment. The theme for this year is “End Plastic Pollution,” highlighting the urgent need to eliminate plastic waste from our surroundings. On this occasion, Tamanna, a student of Class VIII, eloquently presented the importance of the day. Ishant Saini, representing Swami Vivekananda House, beautifully recited a thought-provoking poem.
Students across various classes enthusiastically participated by planting saplings around their homes, thus expressing their commitment to nurturing Mother Earth. Principal, Mrs. Manisha Madaan, urged the students to contribute towards a balanced ecosystem, to actively engage in environmental conservation, and to plant more trees for a sustainable future.
