REPUBLIC DAY
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Dugri celebrated the Republic Day of India on 26th January. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Principal, Mrs. Manisha Madaan followed by National Anthem, Pledge ceremony and a patriotic song by teachers. Mr. Sahil Arora reminded everyone of the unconditional contribution of all the freedom fighters in the struggle. A special morning assembly was arranged on 25th January to celebrate the festivals of Republic Day and Basant panchami. Mrs. Kusum Dawar apprised about the significance of Basant Panchami and glorified the magnificence of Goddess Saraswati. Flowers were offered to Maa Saraswati followed by a melodious Bhajan by students of Class VII that filled the air with religious fervor. The students of Pre-Nursery to Class-II relished yellow coloured food in yellow attitres. The event became memorable by the singing of group song by Nursery Class students, a foot tapping dance performance by KG students and a poem by Simrat of Class-I. Patriotic dances were performed by students of Class-I to IV. Solo songs were sung by students of Class-VI, VII and IX. Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan gave her wishes on Republic Day and reminded us of the struggle and sacrifices of great freedom fighters, founders and leaders who formulated the Indian constitution and also motivated the students to worship Goddess Lakshami and respect their inheritance and culture.
