75TH INDEPENDENCE DAY
Marking Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, BVM Sr. Sec. School, Dugri celebrated 75th Independence day with great zeal. The celebration commenced with a March past by the students creating patriotic vibes across the town. Seeing the enthusiasm of the students, Colonel Amarjeet Singh also joined the rally. Under the campaign 'Har Ghar Tiranga' flag hoisting was done in the school premises to spread of nationalism in the air. An Inter Branch Group Dance Competition was held in the school premises. Mr. Raj Kumar Behl ji, member BVM Trust graced the occasion with his benign presence. The competition was judged by Mrs. Bharti Sachdeva, a socialist and a motivator and Mrs. Ritika Sharma, dance teacher Police DAV Public School. BVM school, Dugri bagged first prize, BVM Kitchlu Nagar stood second and BVM Udham Singh Nagar secured 3rd position while BVM Chandigarh Road got consolation prize. This was followed by vote of thanks by Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan. She appealed to all the students to realise and understand their worth and work for the progress of the nation. The program concluded with the National song 'Vande Mataram'.
