Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High school, Dugri celebrated Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. An inspirational speech was delivered by Mrs. Khiwani Khanna. She said, "Bhagat Singh, one of the greatest revolutionaries and freedom fighters was born on 28th September 1907. Bhagat Singh became a part of Indian independence movement at a very young age. Other than participating in various acts of resistance against British rule in India, he also contributed as a writer and editor for Punjabi and Urdu language newspapers. His revolutionary ideas were becoming immensely popular during the freedom struggle, which was seen as a threat by the empire." A poem on this great revolutionary was delivered by Isha chopra student of class 9. A documentary was shown on the life history of great hero of nation. Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan paid her Heart felt tributes to one of the most courageous freedom fighters Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji for being the voice against oppression, we salute Veer #ShaheedBhagatSingh, today & everyday.
