DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF DR. APJ ABDUL KALAM « 27/Jul/2021

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High school, Dugri remembered the renowned personality Sh. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam (15 October 1931 – 27 July 2015) on his death anniversary. A tribute was given by our teacher Mrs.Gouri on his day. Kalam was an Indian aerospace scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour. Kalam is known as Missile Man of India because of his major contribution in the field of technology and space in India. While delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, Kalam collapsed and died from an apparent cardiac arrest on 27 July 2015, aged 83. Students of different classes beautifully wrote quotes of Kalam ji and a poem on his life was presented by students of class 9. Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan motivated all to take inspiration from Kalam ji as he was a man of simplicity and his dedication to his profession, Patriotism, and his love for children is always an inspiration to every individual. He made every Indian proud.
