BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF BAL GANGADHAR TILAK AND CHANDRA SHEKHAR AZAD JI
"Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it!"
- Bal Gangadhar Tilak
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School, Dugri celebrated the Birth Anniversary of great sons and Leaders of India, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandra Shekhar Azad on 23rd July. An inspiring speech on the life history of both Personalities was given by our teacher Mrs. Khiwani. Bal Gangadhar tilak (Lokmanya Tilak) was an Indian nationalist, teacher, and an independence activist. He was one third of the Lal Bal Pal triumvirate. The British colonial authorities called him "The father of the Indian unrest". He was also conferred with the title of "Lokmanya", which means "accepted by the people ". Mahatma Gandhi called him "The Maker of Modern India".
Chandra Shekhar Azad was an Indian Socialist revolutionary who reorganized the Hindustan Republican Association. Students participated in activities like Slogan writing (higher classes) and poem recitation (class 2nd) to pay homage to these great heroes of nation. Principal Mrs. Manisha Madaan motivated all to take inspiration from two and love our nation like them.
“I believe in a religion that propagates freedom, equality and brotherhood."
-Chandra Shekhar Azad
