In a bid to create a student community that is not only knowledgeable but also culturally aware,
BVM High School, Dugri celebrated the jovial
Teej festival with fervour and gaiety on July 23, 2020. Like every year, various activities were organised for the students, in which they performed whole-heartedly and with the same zeal and zest, amidst the covid-19 pandemic. The students of pre-primary section
wore traditional punjabi attire. Spell bound performances were performed by the students of primary section. They enjoyed the
swings and relished traditional food items such as
kheer and malpura. Maximum talented students showcased their talent with fervour through
traditional dance, song and poems. Charming girls dressed in vibrant hues
recited boliyan and performed
giddha. Students of class 8 apprised everyone with the history and significance of this festival day. Girls of class 9 delightedly applied
mehndi on their hands.
The main aim of organising these various cultural activities was to keep the future generation stay rooted to their culture and traditions.
