BVM DUGRI celebrated the festival of Janmashtmi with great enthusiasm on 23rd Aug 2019. The function started with Deep Prajwalan ceremony. Colour was brought to the occasion with children in dresses resembling mythological characters. Students recited beautiful poems. Bhajans like 'Tera Shukriya Hai' spell bound the audience. 'Gita Saar' was the main attraction of the day. Dance by tiny tots added to the religious fervor of the auspicious day. Students of class V enacted 'Maha Raas Leela' and 'Krishna Janmotsav' was presented by class 4.Tableaux were presented related to Lord Krishna's life. The day was marked by 'Krishna Jhoola'. Principal mam Mrs. Ranjit Kaur gave the message that principles of life should be based on the canons as prescribed in the great religious book 'Gita'.
