Saluting the nation and its freedom fighters, students of
B.V.M Dugri celebrated
Independence Day on 14th August. On this pious occasion our school children sang songs of love for their country and presented a dance. A student of class VII namely
Sehajpreet recited a patriotic poem -
'Bharat ko Vishvaguru Banayenge'. The students of class I and II came on the stage in
Fancy dress of our freedom fighters. Students presented the struggle of freedom in the form of a skit
(Azaadi ki Asha). An impressive speech was delivered by our school teacher
Ms. Gouri. Students of K.G class
planted the saplings. A declamation contest was held on
'Incredible India' in which students of class IX and X participated enthusiastically. Principal Mam
Mrs. Ranjit Kaur told the students about the significance of different colors of National Flag and said that this day is very important as it highlights India's unity in diversity.
