WORLD LITERACY DAY « 07/Sep/2019
BVM HIGH SCHOOL, DUGRI celebrated WORLD LITERACY DAY on Sept 7, 2019 with fervor and enthusiasm. The day started with a morning assembly in which Ms. Sampda, apprised the students with the importance and need of education. Different activities like Poster making and Slogan writing were also organized in order to spread awareness about the importance of Literacy among the students. A rally was also organized, wherein, the students made the people living nearby aware about the importance of education and appealed them to send their children to school. They held banners and posters and shouted slogans promoting schooling every day. Principal mam Mrs. Ranjit Kaur also expressed her views by saying that Literacy Day celebration should not be restricted to one day. Initiatives in this regard should be taken on the remaining 364 days with equal vigor. As education is the only way that would make the next generation informed, empowered and prosperous.
