NATIONAL ARMY DAY « 15/Jan/2021
Indian soldier is a role model for people in the country and his role in nation- building has been outstanding. To salute the indispensable role of the Indian Army, students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School, Dugri observed National Army Day on Jan 15, 2021 with great patriotic fervour and pride. Mr. Sahil Arora (Computer Teacher) expressed his heartfelt gratitude and tributes to those who remained undeterred while laying down their lives for the sake of the nation. He told the students that the day is celebrated to commemorate the day when Lieutenant General KM Cariappa took over General Sir Francis Butcher as the Commander- in- Chief of India in January 1949. Students of Primary and Middle Section paid tributes to the gallant Indian Army through Slogan Writing and Poetry recitation. The day imbibes the message of patriotism among students.
