To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu, Janmashtami was celebrated with great devotion and fervour by the students of BVM High School, Dugri on August 11, 2020. Ms. Poonam, primary teacher, enlightened all about the importance of the day, Krishna’s life and his thoughts which form a part of the holy book ‘Bhagwad Gita’. Students, Samaira and Gayatri, recited mesmerizing bhajan in praise of Lord Krishna. Vishesh, student of class VII, dressed up as Lord Krishna recited ‘Geeta Saar’. The students expressed their extraordinary bond between them and the Almighty through different activities like poems, dances, posters and slogans. Kids dressed up traditionally as Radha and Krishna wearing wonderful smiles on their faces. All these activities made the students aware about Indian tradition, custom and culture and the celebration conveyed the strong message ‘Victory of good over evil’.
